I'm currently flying for Cathay Pacific in Asia. And during my leave, I would like to use an ID90 ticket to travel from YYZ to MCO. However the loading doesn't look too good. Just wondering does Air Canada allow jumpseat request from another airline staff? Or is it up to the skippers' discretion whether they'll release the jumpseat or not.
Thanks for all your help~happy flying

I have heard that it is not possible at all, no one but the crew in there. Best to forward the request off to the ACA chief pilot if you can manage to dig up his e-mail address and see what happens.......

Does Cathay release the jumpseat to non employees?

Didn't think so.

If the jumpseat policy does ever change (work in progress) it will be based on a reciprocal agreements being in place and therefore if you can't reciprocate don't expect much in return.

Sault Flyer,

Cathy isn't on our jumpseat reciprocating jump seat list. If you were on the list, its up to the skipper to issue you a free ride, provided theres an open seats in the back. We allow transboarder US jumpseaters, but you are correct, no one in the flight deck.
