Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knew of, or has, a computer generated VOR and ADF system that can be used to demonstrate orientation exercises to IFR newbies?

I have tried google until my eyes have bled, and I cannot seem to generate any hits on the prune search either.

Does anyone have any hints short of buying Flight Simulator?

Thanks,
hf

I did a quick google also:

VOR Navigation Simulator (http://www.relia.net/~george/aviation/sim/)

Tim's Air Navigation Simulator (http://www.visi.com/~mim/nav/)

VOR Simulator - My Aviation School (http://www.myaviationschool.com/freesoftware/vor/index.asp)

Flying Dynamics - Download options (http://www.flyingdynamics.com/downloadOptions.htm#PersonalUseEdition)

Wow, a "quick" google beats my 4 fruitless hours hands down!
You are the master bArt2, thanks. :ok:

What I was really after was a simulator that used a slaved needle set up (ie a moving card ADF or slaved VOR needle display). Does anyone know of any such beast?

Thanks for your help, bArt2, those links may have to do the trick. I appreciate your effort,

Yeah RANT is the best I've used by some way - looks most realistic, simulates dip and everything. You also don't need to be a computer wizard to figure it out, which I certainly appreciated.

News (http://www.oddsoft.com/news.html) is the website for more info.
