Can someone please clarify the following for me:
According to LASORS:
"PPL/CPL/ATPL(A) holders shall have completed at least 30 hrs on SEP powered aeroplanes of which at least 5 hrs shall be in the six months preceeding the pre-entry flight test".
"All instructors shall unless specified otherwise have at least 15 hrs experience as pilot on the type or class of aeroplane on which instruction is being given".
I have a fATPL and am considering doing a FI(A) Rating to teach PPL students. As both PIC and PU/T, I have personally only ever flown PA-28s and DA40/42s. If the FTO at which I would be based only uses C152s for PPL training, presumably I would need differences training before being able to instruct there?
I'm not sure of the significance of 'unless specified otherwise'.
Many thanks,
HW
