My turn to ask a question, to FAA CFIA experts.
Rather unusual situation -

I have an expired FAA CFIA (Airplane MULTIENGINE ONLY) and CFII.
I held that CFI current since 1972, renewed it every 2 yrs until 2000...
Do not have a FAA CFI Airplane SINGLE Engine rating.
Yet I have a FAA ATP ASMEL rating (and a few type ratings) -
I stopped going to Miami after 2000, then unable to keep it current.
Back then, I used to know FAA Air Carrier inspectors, they all are retired.
They used to renew my CFI in 747 simulators in which I instructed.
Generally, they just wanted to see me instructing my airline guys...
Or teach them to takeoff and land a 747 simulator.

I own a Piper L-21 (that is an ex-military PA-18-150 Super Cub).
I lease the plane to a flight school right now, in Brazil.
Have flown about 500 hrs PIC in it... no instruction.
Just occasionally check PPL/CPL pilots to fly taildraggers, tow gliders or banners.
Taildragger check-out does not require me to have a CFI since they have a current ASEL license...
Matter of fact, I did teach "Instrument" legally (because a CFII) in SE airplanes a few times long ago in the US.
Few people know that it is absolutely legal (read FAR 61).
A CFII can teach instruments in a SEL plane if holding a SEL PILOT license.

So, what do I have to do...? This will reinstate my CFI + all ratings on it as per FAR 61.
I know oral, bla bla bla, flight check, FAA medical, etc...
But would like to do it in a PA-18. That is the plane I know best, the Piper L-4 as well (J-3C).
I know I am NOT required to do it in planes with retractable gear, and constant speed propeller.
That, because I hold a CFI-MEI even if expired (which qualifies for "complex" airplane).
Any suggestions...? I can go to Florida to do the training.
Any of you CFIAs ever did such training for an airline "old fart"...?
I know I could be asked "anything", but "anything" about what...?
Like about "sexual" (excuse me, "sectional" charts)...
Am retiring from airline flying and instructing at the end of November.
Would love to trade some taildragger instruction for a few beers...
