Strip near Hexham?

Subject says it all. Does anyone know of a strip near Hexham? Please PM me or reply to thread.

Currock Hill is 600mtrs 9nm SW Of Hexham. Primarily a gliding site but does accept light aircraft Operated by Northumbria Gliding Club Ltd.

Also Have Heard of a Landing site at Hexham Loadman Farm But know no more than the farm name Not sure if its still in use and how long the runway is if there is a runway and it could be Totally Private.

As has already been mentioned, Currock Hill is approximately 15 miles East of Hexham. The only other alternatives would be the former RAF Ouston, now known as Albermarle Barracks and operated by the army which is approximately 10 miles east of Hexham near Heddon-on-the-Wall. Other than that, your other options are Newcastle Airport approximately 20 miles East or Carlisle which is approximately 30 miles West.

Thats all airfields around there.

There is a small tarmac strip on the MoD range at Otterburn (55 17 10.88N 002 12 22.87W) but I doubt you would get permission to use it.
