Hey gents,
im an unemployed aussie pilot and have been looking for different work around the place (prefer to fly something/somewhere interesting than a big jet). it appears for any float jobs you need some decent float time.
im wondering if anyone can put me in touch with an operator that doesnt require such high mins. i have about 1800hrs w/ some multi flying out in remote areas.
cheers

you should check out MAT in the maldives, i have heard that they now take ozzies with nothing but a bare float rating provided you have all the other capt requirments (>1000 pic, and a active atlp), the idea being that one year as an FO on the DCH-6 will give you the 1000hrs float required for the capt upgrade.
failing that, alligator airways in kunners and reef flight in derby would be interested in hearing from you.
good luck

How many float hours do you need for a chance at a co-pilot postion in Canada?

Try Wilderness North for info - their Chief Pilot's e-mail is on the website.
