Hi all,

Have been advised that before attempting Pitts training I should invest in a tailwheel conversion, along with the training benefits I really quite fancy it anyway so I've decided to take the advice.

Does anyone know if there is any possibility of getting a tailwheel conversion done anywhere in the South West, since I'm having to travel up country for the Pitts i'd like to try and keep traveling to a min.

Cheers

Where in the south west? Last time I looked Ace Flight at Dunkeswell have access to a citabria and are very tailwheel current (they mainly use a Tiger Moth).
There is also a Chippy at Eaglescott.

Phil Matthews in a Super Cub at Cotswold Aero Club at Gloucestershire Airport, or for something very different, the Stampe or Waco at Tiger Airways...

Hi

I have a Pitts S2A based in Herefordshire, and also access to a Citabria.

PM (or email paul@<hidden>) me for further info if interested.

If you are as far SW as Bodmin then give Howard Fawkes there a call. He will likely know what's available in the area.

I don't know either personally, but I believe that both Tiger Airways and Cotwold Aero Club at Staverton will do tailwheel training.
