Hi all,

I have just over 800tt, just over 100turbine and about 50 multi. i was thinking of going to do an instructor course and have a bit of fun teaching others for a while before moving onto something big like the airlines. Im only 22 (just) so I think that I have no need to be in any rush or anything like that in regards to my career and I believe, even with my low hours, I could still pass on alot of first hand experience. Any thoughts? Would it be going backwards or be a silly idea? Any input would be good :}

Neither! After 8 years on the B 707 I went instructing with one of the largest FTOs in Europe at the time. It was educational, fun and definitely furthered my flying career. I went back to flying the B737 after instructing and after a short period ended up in training with TRE/IRE.

Over the years I have learned so much from the people who I was training! They ask questions and generally keep you on your toes!

Go instructing and enjoy!
