Can I do my night rating in Ireland?

UK JAA PPL - Title says it all really. Can I do my night training in Ireland and have it added to my UK licence?

Yes but its called a Night Qualification not a rating.

In fact you can do it in any JAA state.

No night VFR in Ireland. No IFR without an IR.

This restricts your night flight to special VFR within a control zone. Choose where you want to do it carefully, around opening hours ;)

Thanks to all for the replies.

Dublinpilot - will do it at Waterford. Instructor there suggested it, but I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have any problems attaching it to the UK issued licence.
