Thursday June 12th the Danish Parliament passed the proposed changes to the Danish VAT Act. The changes in relation to aircraft imports and sales will be effective from JANUARY 1st 2010.
This means that imports and sales can continue as now until 1.1.2010. Aircraft purchased before the law change can still be imported and delivered after the law change in accordance with the "old" existing rules at a 0% VAT rate. Aircraft purchased after 1.1.2010 will not be able to benefit from the old system.
