A330 NWS angle limit 30deg

Hi there new to the bus was wondering if the airbus pros could tell me how do you restrict to 30deg on the tiller when you have two deflated tires. Meaning to say where is the 30deg mark. Thanks for the help..:rolleyes:

You can interrogate the middle box MCDU, and taxi, watching your nose wheel steering angle. But you have to know where to look and the code.

We used to do it this way for other reasons a few years back.

NWS steering angle does not seem to be available via ACMS Alpha parameters, if it is I can't find it in the list.

Not in my AMM, I was convinced it would be monitored by ACMS but it's just not there.

As stated above...in the ALPHA call up...its NWAM for the older A330's, but for the newer ones its changed to NWSA. Dont know the reason for the change but im sure somebody in Airbus does!

Curious, is this a common occurence? I've had only one lo press tire in 5 years.

The 30 degree mark (steering angle limit) can be read directly from the steering handwheel (tiller).

The steering handwheel has a pointer that moves (with steering handle deflection ) around a fixed card on the base. This card will indicate the amount of deflection.

John seen the card under the steering handwheel any idea exactly what those marks stand for cause theres no units under there....
