Hi All!

I'm considering completing the large bulk of PPL ground school in the UK and then doing the 'hands-on' bit in Spain perhaps. Anybody out there with experience in this route? Very short and, with advance planning, low fare flights to Southern Spain.

In particular, has anyone any experience with Fly-in-Spain as a school for the JAA PPL?

Thanks

The exams and the flying have to be completed under the auspices of the same State therefore you will need a RF that is registered in the UK. Check here http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/PLD%20StandardsDocument30v30.pdf

Hi e-w. Do a search for "Fly-in-Spain". I just did and it came up with 42 threads all about the school!

What BRL said.

Whopity, the aforementioned school is a UK registered facility, operating in Spain (as mentioned in half of those 42 threads)

That's correct, UK registered and near Jerez, Southern Spain. The website is quite informative. I might do my PPL practical bit out there maybe over two separate 2 week blocks.
