Hi All! Thats My First Post Here. I Fly An A320.could Anyone Please Explain The The Way We Found Ldg Distance Required For Flaps Failure Between 0-1 Position On Wet Runway? Do We Use On All Circumastances The 4.03 Page On Qrh Or Consult 4.02 For That Failure. Thanks!!

you've got 2 different types of landing distances in your tables.

1. required landing distance: that's the minimum distance you must have for a normal landing (or for a landing without a problem concerning landing distance). it takes into account the 1.6 factor and is factored for a normal pilot (ie not a test pilot crashing the a/c on the landing marks)

2. landing distance: it's the effective distance of your landing and must be used only if you have a failure concerning the landing distance (flap fault, brake system fault, etc...). this distance is measured by a test pilot who's only objective is to minimise it (landing on the marks at exactly the right speed and braking asap)

in your case this second distance would be used in the LDG DIST Procedure Apply.

Hello....

for this failure .... you should go first for QRH 2.32...

look into the SLATS/FLAPS landing distance factor ...for your case (let's assume that the slats less than 1) so the factor is 1.8 X the LDG DIST .

to get the landing dist...go to QRH 4.03 ( use the configuration full incase you have a failure ) and let's assume your landing weight is 58 tons

the landing dist for the 58tons on a wet runway is 1110 meters.

so 1.8 X 1110 = 1998 meters ...

that's it.

THANKS VERY MUCH! THE THING I WANT TO CLARIFY IS THAT LETS SAY THAT WE HAVE A WET RUNWAY WITH THE FAILURE YOU HAVE MENTIONED BEFORE. LOOKING AT 2.32 INITIALLY AND THEN ON 4.03 OF QRH WE TAKE FOR 58t THE LANDING DISTANCE ON DRY RUNWAY AND MULTIOLY IT WITH THE INCREMENT TO FIND THE WET DISTANCE OR WE GO DIRECLTY TO THE WET ACTUAL LANDING DISTANCE AND WE MULTIPLY WITH INCREMENT CONCERNIG THE FAILURE:ugh:?

if you have a dry runway ....go to dry distance and multiplay it with the factor.
if you have a wet runway...go to wet distance and multiplay it with the factor.

always...go to 2.32 find the factor and delta Vref....then 4.03 for the distance required for the final result .
