Can someone who is familiar with the Seminole electrical system explain why there is a 25 A BTB between the AVI buses?

Hardly when the 40 A breaker trips... is it only to protect against a relay failure? Other than this I can't really see the benefit.

It is there in case of a avionics bus relay failure to make sure you do not lose both sides of the avionics bus.

Hi Selfin, I moved this here after a day or so as you were not getting much views in the other forum. :)

It is there to stop a short on one bus taking out both busses i.e. both nav / com would otherwise die. Not ideal situstion for just one unit turning to toast.
