787 Freighter Conversion.
Dining table banter with a few friends today, some who are freight dogs some who have been given their shot at the 787 when it comes to their company.
Fast-forward 20 years, a whole lot of 787s are now being replaced by the new wiz bang Boeing/Airbus/Shanghai Specials ……….Think of how many 727/737 & A300/310s have gone under the knife in the name of cargo.
Can you cut a cargo door in the side of a 787?
Can composite fuselage barrels be dissected in the manner aluminum airframes are done today?
Has Mr Boeing, snuck a card up their sleeve and already installed localized strengthening along predictable load paths?
Over to you…
