There's a banner on this web page for the conference at Heathrow! Checked it out. Just for fixed wing! :oh: i thought. Might be useful for wannabees to meet the rotory industry. But sadly NO!

Oh yes hello, been reading the posts for a while now thought i would par-take in the interesting threads and total rumour posted here.:E

The annual Employment Opportunities Conference is organised jointly by BALPA and Flyer magazine. It is aimed at fixed wing pilots and not rotary.
Simple reason: there are about 600 rotary pilot BALPA members out of a total membership of over 9000. That's about 7% (6.666% to be precise!). There are 23 different fixed wing employers who recognise BALPA: only 4 rotary ones do. Do the maths!
