If you were going to take an Aztec from Shoreham or Esltree to Avignon, which route would you take?

VFR?

If so:

dct AGN, dct LFMK

The odd dodging of restricted areas as needed.

Just over 600 compared with 450 direct so it adds an hour.

Plenty of places to stop en route if you fancy splitting it into two legs, but of course doable direct with good reserve.

The fun bit then comes explaining why you're at Carcassonne when you think you're at Avignon ;)

VFR? DCT CHT DCT AMB DCT CFA DCT AVN DCT. 480 miles from Shoreham, get zone transits as required much the same as you would in the UK.

IFR? DCT DRAKE A34 KOVAK H20 DOMOD A3 MTL STAR

Good luck with Clermont Coucouron you may get over VFR, you might not.

Carcassone Avignon avoids all the high ground if need requires.
