Hi folks!
Anybody out there with information about the approximate internal noise level
flying a C172 or DA20 during cruise and/or takeoff ?
Rough figures would be enough.
Thank you very much ! :)

i can tell you da20 is less noisy

172 deafening. Katana slightly less deafening.

I can't give specifics, but around 100dBA would be close at take-off. Upto 110 dBA or more for a VP prop and 2700 RPM in a 180HP bubble canopy sports-plane that I subject myself to.
Very sensitive to propeller tip speed (and hence RPM).
To protect your hearing go for at least 20dBA headset attenuation. Best still use the in-ear headsets with the foam inserts. I wish I'd discovered them before the damage was done.

There is an iPhone app for that!
It is called Decibel.. I use it but I don't have any readings to give you...

It's two years or more since I checked it but my recollection is that a C172 with powerflo exhaust was close to 110dB(A) - measured with a reasonable Bruel & Kjaer meter. For your purposes, much as it pains me to say it, I have found the I-phone app to be reasonably close to actual for simple measurements (I'm an Android kinda guy ) .
Cruise was significantly less as I recall - 85 or 90dB(A) I think.
Of course this is a fairly blunt measurement/statement, a spectral analysis would be of interest too - depending on what you're wanting this info for :8.
