Hi thinking about A trip to Lannion in a few months, just want to know if anyone has flown in and what they thought of the place?

Also its quite hard to find any info about the airport, is it a customs airport??

Have a look here. (http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/aip/enligne/PDF_AIPparSSection/VAC/AD/2/0702_AD%202.LFRO.pdf)

The link won't remain valid for long so look quickly!

If it's gone before you get to it, then go here. (http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/)
Click the British flag in the top right corner.
Click AIP on the top of the menu on the left.
Click Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), that appears in the middle of the screen.
Click VAC aerodromes in the menu in the middle of the screen.
Click VAC aerodromes in force.
Find Lannion in the list and click ok.

Looks like you are in luck....there are customs, but they require 24 hours notice, which much be in by 4pm (French time I presume) the day before. This can be found at point 9 on the last page.

I flew there a few years ago in my C172. They could not have been more pleasant. Allowed us to camp in a grassy spot on the airfield and use the washing and showering facilities in the terminal (though there are hotels within walking distance). A good base for exploring the local sights and beautiful North coast.
