Hello All
In the B777-200 Fuel Leak Checklist it gets you to determine if the leak is from the wing or the centre tank. Now if it's from the Centre tank they say you should use the Calculated figure on Progress pg 2. Now if Calculated=Totalizer at start and then decreases at Fuel Flow Rate after engine start-surely that means the FMS would think there's more fuel on board than there actually is for it's predictions? So lets say we 90 000kgs to start with. We've burnt 20000kgs so Calculated thinks we've got 70 000kgs left where as Totalizer says we've got 60 000kgs left cause 10 000kgs has leaked out the centre tank. So then the FMS fuel predictions will be inaccurate?
Is it because they reckon that fuel will have leaked into the centre wing area and will still be onboard thereby affecting the weight of the aircraft?
Does this make sense?
