What a role model for us all.
Aerobatics pilot Harry Mason has been confirmed as the winner of the Royal Aero Club's Old and Bold Trophy for 2007. More details are at http://www.aerobatics.org.uk/trophy_histories/oldandbold_harrymason2007.htm
I know he won't thank me for pointing out that he was 86 last year!!! and came third in his class at the final event at Sherburn.
....and he's one of the nicest chaps around, his charming wife thinks he's mad but its better than a pipe and slippers any day.

He is a top bloke, and he has long had a healthy interest in fast cars too.

(but I should declare an interest - his wife is cousin to my Mum!)

Harry is a star - top bloke, top pilot, top gentleman. Looking forward to seeing him on the competition circuit for years to come as well.

Update.

I am afraid you will not be seeing any more of Harry on the competition circuit, at least actively. I learned last night that he has lost his medical.

Nevertheless, he had a great innings.
