SoCal App 30th November 2006, 01:40 70 feet above ground ??? Somebody could be in a spot of bother if that is true...
dudduddud 30th November 2006, 05:14 i guess they were trying to build hours on the line.
ok fine.
Polarhero 30th November 2006, 06:48 Shocking experience no doubt? :p
Ok I'll get my coat. :(
:ok:
captainyonder 30th November 2006, 12:13 I'm a regular pilot in and out of Oxford and I can't possibly see how they could have hit the power cables unless they were carrying out some very very low (and thus breaking noise abatement procedures) approaches on to 19. Sounds foolish to me.
matspart3 30th November 2006, 12:45 Watt were they thinking?
safety case 30th November 2006, 12:58 Come on ,Never heard of "Fly by Wire"

Will Hung 30th November 2006, 13:12 Someone could be charged !
airborne_artist 30th November 2006, 13:20 Was he trying a glide approach? Did he cut the power in more ways than one?
Cricket23 30th November 2006, 14:21 ...coming in that low, no doubt he had to 'volt' the fence!:p

unfazed 30th November 2006, 15:57 Maybe there was a lot of resistance to the landing
Anyway I bet they will be Charged

stickandrudderman 30th November 2006, 20:16 I'm a regular pilot in and out of Oxford and I can't possibly see how they could have hit the power cables unless they were carrying out some very very low (and thus breaking noise abatement procedures) approaches on to 19. Sounds foolish to me.

tangovictor 1st December 2006, 01:54 Did he get into the circuit?
funniest without a doubt :D
WR 1st December 2006, 10:02 I'm positive he was trying a short circuit to the terminal to get ohm in a flash. An electrifying story, but I'm not phased by as it doesn't happen with much frequency. Lets remain neutral and not spark controversy. I bet the pilot was a bit of a live wire. Is he grounded now? I'm sure he'll solder on somehow, and it won't be of much potential difference to him. I'm switching off now.

baraka 1st December 2006, 21:04 Hello all
Would just like to say that this thread was without doubt THE funniest ever..
Had me in tears, keep up the good work.
Glad the pilots walked away mind, it would have been a very different thread otherwise.
What were they playing at?
