Piper Cheyenne crash after departing from Malta

Just heard on the news that a Piper Cheyenne crashed after leaving Malta International Airport (LMML).

The information I have is that weather was good and it crashed in a road.

Anyone else got some more info?

The Piper PA31 enroute from Malta to Milan crashed near destination, at Piacenza at 4.00 am this morning. Weather was good: aircraft suddenly disappeared from radar. No other news at this time.

Pic was Roberto Manzaroli, president of the Aeroclub of Milan, active AOPA Italy member and consultant for ENAV, the Italian CAA.

He will be sorely missed by the Italian flying community.
