To be fair when I took off to head to Cornwall it was still foggy with a very low cloud base and tops at 2000ft. I did not realise that any brave souls would make it and when I spoke to you on the radio I already had my airways join so to late turn round and come back!

Some nice pics of the field and the trip. I wished I had cleaned the oil of the chippy before she had her photo taken. I have been practicing my aileron rolls and it gets smeared all over the sides.

Saturday is still open to all.

I am not going to be able to come on Saturday now:( I have to go to Aberdeen, going offshore for three days on the Bp Forties rig, about 60 miles S.S.E of Aberdeen in a chopper! I dont like the wings going round over my head:confused: Still its free flying of a sort:ok: Hope you get better weather than this week has given so far.
Cheers PG.

nah, just thought we would open the doors, Spanhoe is not a place you would normally fly to. Probably throw some coal on the BBQ weather permitting.

Thanks for the hospitality.
Nice strip, picturesque setting, some interesting aircraft about and a nice bunch of people. You have a very nice facility there.
I enjoyed my visit and will doubtless drop in again when I am passing.
Hope the ILS approaches to Cambridge went well.
