Can anyone recomend a place in the UK to get my TR on the PA-46? I understand most of the courses are in the US but I hear of some in the UK,

Any assistance would be great,

Cheers all

There was a company in Bournemouth going to do them, but not sure if anything ever came of it.

Hello everyone

I am Dick Rochfort. I am a PA46 instructor pilot based in Baltimore, MD USA. I am new to this forum, but I wanted to say that I occasionally come to the UK (as well as other places in Western Europe) to provide training or relocate aircraft. While I have no current plans to come that way, I am happy to help if several pilots want to share expenses.

Regards,

Purely by co-incidence?

There was this woman who used to come down to Lydd once in awhile giving type ratings on the Malibu (as there used to be at least 2 on the field). Think she was out of Redhill, Blackbushe etc - something like that. Give Lydd Aero Club a call and talk to one of the instructors there - I'm sure they'll remember her name.

As the FAA do not require a type rating on the PA46 I would assume we are talking about JAA?

I have the approvals for the PA46 but there is a lack of examiners and I can't teach and test my own students. There is a also a lack of suitable aircraft as well.

If you have a specific need and an aircraft drop me a pm and we can see what can be arranged. I need to understand what licence you intend to fly it on as gets quite complicated.
