I just moved into a new house in June and we all use wireless internet connection with a router. I could connect to the internet fine until quite recently, I realised I can connect to other wireless networks in the area but not to the one in my house, even though my other housemates can connect fine and there is excellent service on the connection. Pls i need help cant place my finger on the exact fault. and my laptop is only7 months old.
thanks

try uninstalling all network connections and rebooting. let xp find any new connections. this usually works when summat gets corrupt. which seems like your problem.

are you sure no one has changed the router settings?
try rebooting the router, sometimes works?

Still havin probs eh?

I'd check to make sure that the network is giving you an ip address first...

goto start menu...run...type "cmd"...hit enter..

that should open up a black cmd prompt..

type in ipconfig -a <hit enter>..

and post the results on here...

from that we can start to troubleshoot...
