Hello,

I'm will be on a business trip to the above location in about a month. Does anybody have an idea if this is the sort of country where you can safely rent a plane? If so, does anybody know if I can rent a plane over there?
Lastly, maybe any (pro) pilots out there want to have a drink and chat?

Thanks alot.

PS: no double post, just different country.

Hi
you probably know that the Royal Thai Flying Club is based at Bang Phra which is about 90 Km south of Bangkok on the road to Pattaya. It is not far from Sri Racha and it is very difficult to find being on a large sprawling University Campus! I managed it on a motor bike but how you would get a taxi driver to find it Ive no idea!
I dont know what you mean by safe to rent an aircraft, but you would need a Thai validation to fly alone plus check flights etc. I believe that to do this you have to be technically "invited".No probelm flying Dual...
When I visited they only had some older Cessna 150s and 152 on the club fleet although there were quite a few (10?) privately owned aircraft there. I decided that I would give the flying a miss.
Sorry wont be there for a beer!
