Yup, eaten that T-shirt, and a mighty fine flight it was !

We went :-

Leeds - Munster Osnabruck - Prague
in a 172. Dead easy, as long as you don't mind the "big" water crossing, and you can cope with the sore backsides! ...

If you want some "finer" detail, feel free to PM me ....

Done it a few times, try SPA in Belguim a good place to eat and a reasonably quick turn around then maybe Karlovy Vary just over the border in Czech, the town is at the bottom of the hill and is well worth a visit-old spa town

Watch Customs; not many airports there have entry and exit Customs facilities.

Last time I looked at doing this VFR (IFR is easy) the biggest challenge seemed to be the terrain in Germany, versus cloudbases.

Next is the controlled airspace en route, e.g. Belgium, some of which is awfully low down. In reality one can (confidently) ask for a transit straight through the whole lot, but as with all VFR routes the alternative must still be planned and be navigable using whatever means.

You can fly VFR all the way across the Brussels FIR quite high, the last time I did it I went KOK-GSY-NTM at FL90 out and FL100 on the way back.
