On the instructors forum, Funfly has started a thread on flight safety. I don't know how to link to it, but he says.

Quote: "We have put on the internet a page to help pre-flight planning at http://www.funfly.co.uk

This is not a blatant ad. because the page is simply a check list and free to use. I have made the post here because it might be a really good place for instructors to point students to illustrate flight pre-planning. If used regularly a check-list like this can be an aid to flight safety."

Bearing mind the thread about airspace busts, I thought the use of Funflys website, or at least his reminders would be a good memory aid.

I would also add to his list of links, the free navigation website:
http://www.goflying.org/index.htm

Mods: as there seem to be new people looking at this forum, and in order to promote flight safety, can you make this a sticky for a while please?

Regards,

C23.

The funfly.co.uk flight planning check list is supported free by a specialist General Aviation search engine and GoFlying is listed in the category 'Planning tools'. How many times does our friend in GASCo deal with the problems caused by poor pre-flight planning - the two sites, funfly.co.uk and goflying are doing a simmilar job and approaching it from different directions, between them they offer a real choice in flight planning methods.
