Hi,

We flew to Bergamo last year but since they didn't have any Avgas available (we arrived during the lunch break :hmm: ) we had to make an unexpected stop at Milan-Bresso in stead. Bresso is a small private airfield, belonging to the Aero Club Milano. This is the oldest flying club in Northern Italy I believe (founded 1926) (http://www.aeroclubmilano.it/ (http://www.aeroclubmilano.it/en/index.html)), and they have something like 450 flying members and 27 aircraft!

The airfield lies in the middle of the city and I believe it is PPR so best give them a call first. We were welcomed with open arms. In fact the welcome was a bit overwhelming, everybody and everything there breathes aviation and the people are so friendly it's a breath of fresh air from what we are used to at some of the airfields in Belgium. We sat in the bar adjacent the club house and immediately got to know 4-5 fellow aviation enthousiast from 3 different countries.

The only thing you have to be aware of is that (at least when we were there) the Avgas is quite expensive.

Enjoy you flight !
