Hethel Lotus Airfield

Anyone know if you can fly into Hethel near Norwich. I have to go to 96th Birthday party in the same village. Last year I went into Shipdam (I know now that I should have gone to Old Buckenham) which was not too far away but it would be great if I could go into Hethel and walk to the house.

Has anyone been into there or know anything about it.

Last time I flew over the runway 2 weeks go it was still being used as part of the Lotus test track.

I suggest you give Lotus cars a call.

I did get permission to land at Hethel about 3 or 4 years ago, but that was in a helicopter. The guy you need to talk to is the facilities manager on 01953 608302. They were very specific that it had to be at a fixed time.

I visited the Factory last year and asked if I could fly in (fixed wing). I was told it was no longer possible, they did offer to come and pick me up from NWI though :ok:
