does anbody know where i can purchase an aircraft engine in the uk

needs to be 100-110hp

seen websites but they are in america and are not inclusive of VAT

WOULD LIKE TO BUY LOCAL

The usual Lycoming/Rotax etc dealers I would guess. CSE in Oxford is one.

Or, get a lawn mower engine from the local farm supplier. It will be more modern :O

Check out Jabiru options as well.
They have a UK agent.

Rotax 912ULS is 100hp. Skydrive are the UK dealer and the cost will be about £9000 inc vat for a typical engine with all the bits, but less fitting and prop which are airframe specific.

For that power bracket and routinely operating under 10,000ft I'd personally only consider one engine - the Rotax 912S.

There's also only one new engines dealer in the UK, which is Skydrive...

(Although you might get a second hand engine for around half the new price - a one-man-band near Manchester called "Ecclestone Aviation" has a good reputation in that regard).
