Hi folks - new to this forum and looking for some help.

My Southern England half mill chart shows an airfield called Willingham about a third of the way between Wyton and Cambridge.

Do any of you have contact details?

Thank you

Last time I was in Willingham (visiting friends) there was a biplane going in/out of a farm strip on the edge of the village - didn't look like an 'airfield' - mown/rolled grass strip, like Belle Vue, Torrington, Devon, or Hook airstrip, Hants.

I bought my Airtourer from a chap at Willingham nearly 20 years ago and at that stage it had a pukka grass runway and a hangar/barn near the strip. What I do remember are the wires to the West of the field, which due to the Airtourer's take-off performance, made the departure a bit on the exciting side. Funnily enough I've never spotted it from the air since although I do fly in the area.

The farm owner/chap that lives in the house next to it is a personal family friend of mine. I've flown off the strip a few times in the Xair he owns.
It's a short grass strip with tall trees up one side. The wires that were once there are now submerged to the best of my knowledge. There's a handful of aircraft based there too, if I remember correctly.
To be honest the strip is of such a short length that it's really only viable for microlights and Cub like STOL types.

Anywho, recommend a nose in something like the microlight guides you can get from the likes of Pooleys. If you get really stuck for contact details PM me your details and I will pass them on.
