Hi.
Which type of A/c is more suited to training for the Multi IFR rating, post CPL,with regards to complexity/least time towards training, TAS, range, cost/hr, etc.

The Partenavia
The Seneca (non Turbocharged)

thanx

Shouldn't matter really

And don't be too concerned about the amount of training time it takes.
I know that it is expensive to do the Multi IR, but remember that it's very important for you to be totally comfortable with the aircraft you are flying in.

I have seen a few guys over the past couple of weeks who have needlessly failed or partialled their IR skills test, because they were not fully familiar with their aircraft.

Take your time - in the end it will make you a much better pilot.

I don't know whether the fixed gear of the Partenavia would cause any problems. I'm pretty sure you need retractable gear for the CPL, but I'm not sure about the IR?
