Air Canada has publicly stated it is looking for widebodies for expansion. Anybody heard about any updates? The carrier is announcing A340 routes for the summer that I wouldn't have thought they'd have the aircraft resources for without more planes.

I don't recall where I read it but I beleive they were acquiring at least a couple more 340's. I heard they were looking at 340's and more '67's.

Yes, I had heard the same thing also. Was just wondering how the search was coming along...

Ex- Air Jamaica 340 has been registered (C-FDRO), so we can assume that one's imminent.

Rumoured 2 ex-Kenya 767s arriving in May/June.

I understand that they are bringing some old 767-200's out of the desert! They will only be used within North America as ther are not ETOPS certified.
