What are the costs of a/c insurance, with regard to flying schools/ clubs?

Which works out cheaper, for ab initio training?

C150/ 152 (£1300 traffords)
PA38
Katana

and...

C172 (£2995 traffords)
PA28
Diamond Star

to name a few. And what about complex a/c? Obviously post ppl training and maybe 100 hours P1?

It's not as simple as that you have not taken into account hull value , no claim discount , fleet discount and annual usage.

For a full club cover on a £19,000 C152 flying 300 hours annualy with a £ 500 excess I would think £ 1600 would be about right.
