A mate of mine is planning a trip thru Asia from Oz up to Japan and back via Hong Kong in his Panther Chieftain, the Colemil one with the winglets and 4 blade props etc.

Wants to stop over at Chep Lap Kok as its the only international airport for Hong Kong, other than Maccau I guess.

Is there any minimum size for aircraft to operate into CLK and will the Hong Kong Busines Aircraft Centre jandle a Chieftain. Paying through the nose is considered a given.

Any advice would be welcome

No problem to land at CLK, just 'show me da money'. Smallest aircraft I've seen here is the Hong Kong Aviation Club's C172.

I think I have a photograph of a Panther Navajo in Hong Kong years ago at the old Kai Tak. Is that the same one?

Give BAC a call and they can fill you in on all the details:

Rates are high but not crazy, unless you leave it there for a week or so. CIQ arranged by them.
