I have got my interview for student ATC on the 7th feb and was looking for some advice.I got to this stage last year and passed everything apart from the personnel interview. When i wrote off to find out where i went wrong i was told that "the interviewer found you to be friendly and able to provide logical answers. However you failed to achieve the required score in the series of structured questions." Has anyone got any advice to help me through this.Any information would be greatly appereciated.

Unfortunately there isn't much advice that can be given with the personel questions as they are bizarre in the first place. The good news could be that by the very fact your application has been accepted a second time is quite encouraging. Plus your second application shows a keeness for the job. They like that too.

i take it you are talking about the 54 questions that are posed without feeling or reaction to your answers. I assume they are set questions so all i can say is that if you can remember any of them, to prepare answers this time, i can only remember a few as it was a couple of years ago now but maybe someone can post the questions for you?!

I think I remember a couple of the questions being something along the lines of 'Do you like taking things apart to see how they work?' and 'What do you think about in your spare time?'
