WestJet is also accepting pilots applications. I believe they are hiring as many as 180 next year, with 15 new aircraft showing up all crew bases are in YYC (Calgary).

Just looked at the link and I'm very glad to hear that HARMONY is still hiring, but I've never heard of the VP Customer Service being able to vet applications for Cabin Crew, aren't they (Customer Service) supposed to look after airport issues? Seems to me that the applications for cabin crew should be looked at by hmmmm...the head of that department. Is the job that hard for a qualified person or is it just that someone can't keep their nose out of flight ops? Happens at a lot of places, too bad, cause it really p####es the ops people off. Not to mention the regulator..Who is really in charge? Flight OPs or Customer Service? Just asking...:E

HMY says they are looking for 757/767 pilots on their website, and says "you need a current ATR"; now since anyone can be a 757/767 pilot given the right training, are they only hiring guys with a type rating, or have they hired people without one?

Hi, not to put too fine a point on it I think that by "current" they mean a Canadian ATR, a valid cat 1 medical, the right to work in Canada, plus a B757/767 current endorsement (no expiries) I think that the add has attracted all sorts of interest from some pretty interesting and underqualified applicants. It makes wading through the CV's pretty time consuming. It's really a quick way of getting to the qualified guys faster. No plans as far as it goes to hire DEC's as they have a very strong level of talent and a good seniority list. Good guy at the CP job too...
