Hello to you all,. .. .I hope a few of you will be able to help me. A friend of the family is doing her dissertation. Her chosen subject is on Crashes/Aircrew etc. She has created online an ominous questionnaire; it’s very short (only taken 1 min, ticks in the box sort of thing nothing to taxing). It would be appreciated if as many pilots (civialian, military, experienced or not) could fill it in as possible . Many thanks she will appreciate it .. .. .The web address :. .. .http://members.lycos.co.uk/epilot/

hMM.... .. .Im always nervous when those who appear to be 'outside' aviation seem to take a real interest in what we do...or at least in accidents....and always seem to mis-focus...for instance...from the questionaire...... .. .'When flying in bad weather conditions and it becomes necessary to rely upon instrumentation, do you feel this adversely affects your flying ability?'. .. .You WHAT? Is this serious?! FFS. I hardly think instrument flying constitutes 'adversly affecting your flying ability' and if it does then the pilot involved has no right to hold an instrument rating even. For crying out loud....Talk about a question from those who appear to not understand the nature of the work...or even the nature of flight on instruments.... .. .Ho hum.. .. .[soap box mode off]
