Anyone come across a CAA recommended wording for writing a up a satisfactory CofR in a ppl logbook, notwithstanding that you can hardly fit anything in the remarks column in most logbbooks?. .. . . . . . [ 04 March 2002, 09:28: Message edited by: toulouse_le_trek ]

Why does it need to go into the logbook at all? Surely it is just entered on the appropriate sheet in the pilot's licence. . .. .[Or do you mean the 'training flight' of 1.245(c)(1) of JAR-FCL 1? In which case, what's wrong with just a signature to indicate that the flight has taken place?]

Yes, that's right. If it's a revalidation by experience then it simply gets written on the little green ratings insert in the holder's licence. Only instructors who hold a valid examiner rating (could be RT, Ground Examiner, or Flight Examiner) are authorised to sign the reval.. .. .If it's the biennial training flight then this is signed off in the log book. No words are necessary other than 'BTF' followed by your signature and licence number. Any current instructor can carry out the flight and sign the log book.

If we're talking about the C of Test/Experience (Form FCL 150CJAR) then remember that the examiner and pilot must also sign a form LPC and send it off to the CAA
