As a new First Officer on a jet multi pilot aeroplane when I am logging flight time should it all be logged as Co-pilot or when PF should it be logged as p1s, PICUS.

Thanks

Hi Omni,

I personally log all co-pilot (PNF) flying as P2. When flying the aircraft as PF, I log it as P1/S. I put the captains name in the Pilot column. I believe the captains log P1 regardless of whether they are PF or PNF. You don't need the captains signature for the P1/S flights.

Thanks

That is what I have been doing but somebody told me otherwise.

And how about when PNF and doing most of the work? Or is that just business as usual?

If you look in lasors on the caa website it gives you a run down on the JAR method of logging the time which is a bit different to the old method.

Also there is a wee bit of debate as to what you log as copilot and PICUS some say you should log everything as copilot others that you should log PNF as co but PF as PICUS.

Personally I can't see how a 160hr Intergrated student couldn't ever gain their ATPL if you could log PF as PICUS but there you go.
