Hi!!
Where can I find the exact definition off how wide the airways are in Europe. So far I can see that they are 5 nm. But I can't find it in writing anywhere. The only thing I can find in writing is the 4 nm for the US.:confused:

I say 10 Nm in a lot of cases.......

Any more offers??

From Oxford JAA theory:
"Normally airways are 10 nm wide (5 nm either side of the route) Alternatively in areas where the centre line is difficult to maintain (worse than RNP4) the width may be increased to 20 nm".

In the UK it is stated in the AIP ENR 1.1.1 paragraph 1.2:

"Except where stated otherwise the width of an Airway is 5nm either side of a straight line joining each two consecutive points shown in column 1 of the table [in ENR 3]."

I would expect that other European AIPs have a similar statement.
