As a fittting Tribute to Glen, Mel and Glen's family have organised a Farewell 'Get Together Evening' at the
Oaklands Country House Hotel,
Laceby, near Grimsby... (OTR 210/5.2nm)
on Sunday 2nd May 2004 from 6pm.
There will be a Buffet Supper, Live Music and a Bar (Which is expected to be open to some late Hour, ..for Hotel Residents!!!)
All are invited to share memories and experiences in a joyful gathering of 'Aviatorship' to remember a Very Unique Aviator, Friend and Mentor.
The evening will see the launch of the 'Glen Stewart Flying Scholarship Charity' which has been set up as a Registered Charity to provide a vehicle for us all to put something back into aviation to help other worthy 'hopefuls' get a foot on the ladder towards fulfilling their dreams, as Glen did for so many during his lifetime.
Generous Private and Corporate Donations have already been received, which will fund the first scholarship, and it is hoped that many further pledges will be forthcoming to enable the fund to grow from year to year.
