who in their right mind would want the open skies agreement ?
My company flies cargo and we do ok because the americans can come to only one airport in canada . Under the new agreement , the americans will be able to come to vancouver for example , then take the freight onto edmonton calgary and halifax. So there would be no need for any canadian carrier anymore .The fact that we could now fly into the US does not really matter since we could not compete with the us companies on a fair basis . Anybody that agrees with this open skies Bul......... needs to give their head a shake .
Any input ?

This has always been a Canadian Concern(they're larger)..Overnight we envision them coming over the border and flying YVR-YYZ every hour,on the hour.By the same token you could fly SFO/LAX-NewYork,if you had the sales conx in place..What one can envision is that the US carriers would do just that(YV-YZ),at an artificial Cheaper rate,to eradicate the Canadian Carriers, thence'reduce' service with 'increased'rates(no competition).AS the US Airline Industry has found with'Deregulation'not every city will be serviced and Direct/one day continuity (coast to coast) will be a thing o'the past, not too mention the'lowest'quality of service ever imagined.......

If this happens, Fedex will shut down Morningstar, Cargojet will lose UPS, and you still won't be considered a professional and be able to get a visa to work for any of these people. Then all the cheap scumbag US freight operators who sell right seat time by the hour will undercut everybody else.
All this, because AC wants 6th freedoms that it has effectively anyway.
