Could somebody shed a light on matter regarding a strange line, which seems to be drawn on the window post on both sides in the cockpit of the 747.
I was wondering if I should draw on the window post in the cockpit of my everyday workplace........Chieftain!!!! :p

Hi there,
The painted + is a typical Boeing `Hiigh Tech' and faily bulletproof aid to seat adjustment. Lining up one's eye position alongside the cross, both fore and aft and verticall ensures the best seating position. There can be, due to window and nose configuration, a tendency to sit too far aft and/or too low. I've seen it a lot on conversions on the sim, with repeated goarounds from marginal Cat2 being caused by chaps being unable to see the lights which are almost `under' the nose. Enjoy your Chieftain!
