New guy here.

Curious about the amount of instruction hours other CFIs are averaging on a monthly basis. Feel like I'm starving out here in Phoenix, AZ USA and wonder if its better elsewhere.

Is it?

Thanks folks!

Well you did not say how much you're flying now......
Maybe it's just the school you're at.....
How actively are YOU recruiting students?
Ok some numbers here:
In the last 3 years,
Min hrs flown a month 0 (nothing, nada dry bread & noodles)
Max hrs flown a month 135 (7 in 1st wk, 128 in 3 wks)
Last 90 days 240
Last 12 months 1248
Average over last 3 years 950/yr.
Did you try recuiting yourself?
Hand out business-cards left & right.
Leave a stack at the local pilot-shop.
Everybody you talk to mention an intro-flight.
Good luck

Oh by the way all in sunny Florida...:D

Thanks B2N2.

Currently employing all tactics. It just might be the amount of intstructors (too many!) at my place of employment. Appreciate the numbers, helps me to determine the general state of U.S. flight instruction.
