Hope this is the correct place for this but can anybody who knows tell me:-

1. Is there a Swiss equivalent of Rule 5 of the UK Air Navigation Order prohibiting flight closer than 500ft fromstructures, objects etc (except when landing)? Assuming there is an equivalent is the rule the same or does it say something else?

2. What is an "FOM"? I understand it to be an authorisation to perform commercial flights but is it the equivalent of a UK Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) or something simpler.

Thanks

If it exists and if you read one of the three administrative languages of the country (German, French, Italian), you might find it under www.admin.ch

Don't get angry at me: nobody is asking you a have perfect knowledge of Romantch to read Swiss laws. It's only the fourth national idioma of the country...:E

Switzerland is "fully JAA"... FOM (Flight Operations Manual) is a dated term, and should now be replaced with OM(A)
