I know this is a daft question..but does the reverse thrust on A/C engines differ? Wot I mean is on alot of boeings I've seen..the nacelle just moves back. On alot of airbus types I've seen flaps pop out which I imagine direct the thrust. On older 737's there is buckets that split from the back. I know engines have come along way from the dirty noisy things of the 60's and 70's but can anyone tell me the reasons?????
