Hi Im curious,

Why when i look up the MD10 on airliners.net i only get a few returns. Is this because the MD10 is really the new name for a DC10? How well did it sell under its new title? And my last question how comes Fedex seems to be phasing out their MD 10s in favour of 2nd hand MD 11s?

The MD10 program is effectively a glass-cockpit upgrade to existing DC10s to make them a common type with the MD11. If FedEx are trading the 10s for the 11s it's probably because the 11 is a far more capable aircraft and the there are a few around at rock bottom prices.
